These are forecast to cost about $6000 and will be available in about 2 years. Refueling stations (lack of) are a major draw back.  The reviewer gives the bike high marks for ease of use and a smooth ride.

The Latest Thing-Yike Bike

Just came across this bike in the NY Times.  The Yike Bike...yikes is right!  These babies cost around $3500 and weigh only 22 lbs.  The Yike Bike will carry you about 6 miles on 1 charge, costing roughly .06 per charge!  Invented in New Zealand.
